We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from tension through therapeutic massage techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent customer service skills, and effective communication abilities to ensure a positive experience for all clients.
Responsibilities
Provide professional massage therapy services tailored to individual client needs
Assess client conditions and discuss treatment plans to address specific concerns
Utilize various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage
Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes in compliance with privacy regulations
Ensure a clean and welcoming environment for clients before and after treatments
Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and self-care practices
Collaborate with other wellness professionals to enhance overall client care
Qualifications
Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist
Proficiency in medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
Previous experience in a spa or clinical setting is preferred but not required
A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in massage therapy techniques
