Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical conditions and medical history to develop personalized massage treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based massage therapy treatments using various techniques and modalities to promote relaxation, reduce muscle tension, and enhance overall wellness.
Collaborate with physiotherapists, chiropractors, and other team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated client care.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to support wellness goals.
Educate clients on self-care techniques, stress management, and lifestyle recommendations.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and confidential client records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards, ensuring full client confidentiality.
Stay informed about advancements in massage therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Completion of a
minimum 2200-hour massage therapy program
from an accredited institution.
Licensed Massage Therapist in Alberta with
valid registration and liability insurance
.
Proven experience in delivering effective therapeutic massage treatments.
Reliable transportation
to and from clinic locations.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive client relationships.
Proficiency in deep tissue massage
; additional modalities such as Swedish, prenatal, reflexology, hot stone, trigger point therapy, or sports massage are considered assets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and reliably uphold scheduled appointments.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on current industry trends and techniques.
Strong organizational skills to manage appointments and maintain accurate documentation.
