Part-Time: 4 hours/day, Monday to Friday

About Us:

Catch a Balloon Inc. is a pediatric therapy and wellness clinic offering inclusive and creative programming for children with diverse needs. Our summer program incorporates water-based activities as part of sensory and recreational therapy in a safe and nurturing environment.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a

Registered Lifeguard

to supervise and ensure safety during water play and sensory-based outdoor activities for our summer camp program. This is a

2-month contract

position requiring on-site presence at our Richmond Hill location for

4 hours daily

(exact shift timing to be discussed).

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee children's safety during water-based activities (e.g., splash pad, sprinklers, inflatable pools) Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies Collaborate with therapists and camp staff to maintain safety and a welcoming atmosphere Monitor equipment and outdoor water play areas for safety compliance Report incidents and maintain basic safety documentation as needed

Qualifications:

Registered Lifeguard

in good standing (e.g., with Lifesaving Society, Red Cross, or equivalent)

Valid CPR-C/First Aid Certification

Minimum age: 18 years

Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)

required prior to start Experience working with children, especially those with special needs, is a strong asset Reliable, alert, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and qualifications
