Pursuit Health Management is a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation firm located in London, Ontario, providing services throughout Southwestern Ontario for the past 26 years. Our healthcare professionals include Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Social Workers, Rehab Therapists and Kinesiologists.
We are recruiting a Registered Kinesiologist who possesses 3 or more years of experience in developing/monitoring return to work programs. Exposure to clients who have sustained a traumatic brain injury, mental health and/or orthopaedic injuries is an asset. The Kinesiologist will work with our clients, providing a variety of supports including behaviour management, mental health support, community reintegration with a focus on return to work.
This is a
part-time, casual position
, working from a home based office, with travel throughout Southwestern Ontario.
As a Kinesiologist you will implement a wide variety of rehabilitation programming such as but not limited to;
Implement cognitive, physical and/or behavioural interventions to achieve treatment goals established by health care professionals such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Social Workers, SLP etc.
Complete physical demands analyses
Act as a job coach for both functional and cognitive related impairments and provide "hands on" support with return to work programs
Provide support in a variety of workplace settings
Liaison with all members of treatment team to ensure effective service provision
Prepare and submit detailed progress notes and comprehensive progress reports
Qualifications
University degree - Kinesiology
Member of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
Strong return to work skills across a variety of industries
Acquired brain injury, mental health and behavioural experience
Experience working under a Regulated Health Care team is an asset
Enthusiastic and responsible
Excellent communication, organization and social skills
Current First Aid/CPR
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with ability to travel within Southwestern Ontario
