Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Kinesiologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and organizational skills, with experience in patient care and medical documentation. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement rehabilitation programs, providing exceptional patient support, and utilizing a variety of computer applications to ensure efficient case management. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment focused on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Duties



Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical functions and develop individualized treatment plans based on medical history and current condition. Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall functional capacity. Maintain accurate electronic medical records, documenting patient progress, treatment modifications, and clinical observations. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care strategies. Administer medications as prescribed within scope of practice, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and health management strategies. Manage caseloads efficiently through effective time management and organizational skills. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) for report writing, presentations, scheduling, and communication purposes. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries professionally and compassionately. Assist in training new staff or interns on electronic medical records systems and hospital procedures.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree or higher in Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field; licensure or certification as required by the jurisdiction. Proven experience working in fitness center, hospital settings or acute care environments preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and case management principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical records systems. Excellent communication skills--both verbal and written--and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating patient progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly. Experience working with pediatric populations (Pediatrics) is a plus but not required. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.50-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
