This is an open ended contract with no end date at this time.
In consultation with the head teacher, participates in the planning and implementation of age appropriate programs that align with our program statement and How Does Learning Happen?.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift plus 1 hour lunch break Shift 8:45-5:45 (Some overtime required ie. staff meetings)
Minimum Requirements:
E.C.E. Diploma
Registration with College of Early Childhood Educators-In good standing.
Valid standard First Aid and C-CPR certificate
Negative Police records Check for work with the Vulnerable Sector performed within the 6 months prior to start date
Up to date immunization record
Qualifications:
Experience in a licensed child care program;
Ability to accommodate competing demands and handle emergency situations with composure;
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff;
Physical ability to carry or lift children and move moderately heavy items, stand for extended periods of time and work at child height;
Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act and How DoesLearning Happen?
