Niagara Nursery School and Child Care Centre are looking for Registered Early Childhood Educators to join our team. This is a full-time position; the individual will be a part of our team, typically working from 10 am - 6 pm.

Niagara Nursery School has served the Niagara on the Lake community for 50+ years, providing a warm, creative, and nurturing environment for the children and families in our care. We recently underwent an expansion that has allowed us to expand our services to provide infant and toddler care along with our existing preschool and school-age program.

We provide all staff members (after a 3-month probationary period) with a budget for learning workshops through the ECCDC as well as paying for all required certifications i.e., CECE membership, CRC, and First Aid training. We also provide all permanent staff with health benefits.

Niagara Nursery School is a part of the CWELCC program.

Niagara Nursery School was the first child care centre to receive the QCCN award for the Best Child Care Centre of Niagara in 2013. We offer a warm and welcoming working environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and opportunities for continuous learning.



Responsibilities:



Classroom supervision/Classroom management Continuation of classroom daily routines and work cycle Lunch coverage Opening and Closing Duties Completion of logs and daily written records Bathroom supervision and general hygiene General classroom cleaning and maintenance Parent communication Perform all additional job duties as per Public Health Regulations Participate in necessary meetings and training online utilizing your own device and Wi-Fi.

A successful candidate will possess:



A passion for working with children and families A positive attitude and great work ethic Ability to teamwork Able to work quickly and efficiently under the ever-changing circumstances of Child Care. Knowledge of "How does Learning Happen?"/ new regulations/legislation. Experience and knowledge of the play-based emergent curriculum. Flexible availability is a must. Adaptability to work with all age groups as needed.

Work Experience, education, skills, and other required documents.

Early Childhood Education Diploma and a member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Meets all documentation requirements of the Ministry of Education's Child Care and Early Years Act including Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid, and CPR level C along with updated medical and immunization records. Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain. QCCN training and certification an asset. WHMIS training is an asset. Demonstrated skills and experience in the areas of providing excellence in programs for children 2 to 4 years, mentoring, leadership, team building, and written and oral communication. Pay: $21.50-$24.86 per hour
