Job Description

Responsibilities :

Must be available to work various hours between 6:45am - 6:15pm Mon-Fri. Implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Establish and maintain a warm supportive relationship with the families of the children. Be responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe, clean, stimulating environment for children in the assigned classroom and for the Centre. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act and knowledge of licensing regulations Prepare art materials and assist children to use them Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits Prepare and serve snacks
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:

An Early Childhood Education diploma and Registered with the college of ECE'S Professional experience in dealing with young children Demonstrated understanding of and love for young children and enthusiasm for helping to maintain a happy, creative atmosphere in the classroom Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months) Valid Standard First Aid + CPR-C certifications Up to date immunizations including TB test Health Check
