Alpha Child Care LTD is seeking to fill an immediate RECE educator position in our Brampton location. The candidate should be an experienced leader with a strong knowledge of child development, and licensing requirements. The centre is licensed for 78 children from toddlers through age 12.

The RECE will be responsible for the day to day program planning and classroom management in accordance with the centre's policies and procedures. The educator ensures the physical safety and emotional well-being of all children in the classroom

The Role

The Early Childhood educator is responsible for educating, stimulating, influencing and caring for the children in their classroom environment. Their principle responsibilities include maintaining a high quality environment, assessing, observing and caring for the individual needs of every child, educating children in accordance to the designated curriculum model for their age group, maintaining open and honest lines of communication between parents and team members, and always exemplifying professionalism at all times

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the RECE is to coordinate and lead his/her team in planning and implementing a program that provides for the optimal, physical, cognitive and emotional wellbeing of the children in his/her care. Works cooperatively as a team member, encourages others to do likewise and consistently maintains a positive attitude. Directs and participates with children in planned activities. Takes initiative in completing tasks without direction Effectively supervises children on all scheduled school walks, field trips and other outings Completes children's progress reports as scheduled Is sensitive to parents needs and maintains a supportive relationship with them on a professional level while following center policies.

Success

The successful candidate will have the knowledge, skills and abilities to practice, plan and implement activities that are appropriate to children's developmental stage. The candidate will need to have ensured they are providing high quality care to children and families and ensuring they foster a nurturing learning environment where the children can grow and excel.

Qualifications

An ECE Diploma from a recognized Ontario College or equivalent Must be an RECE Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators Up-to-date First Aid and CPR Current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check Vulnerable Sector Up to date Immunization and 2 tiered TB test Strengths in organizational skills, communication skills, parent education, and leadership Excellent teamwork skills Confident and flexible professionalism Love of outdoors Tech savvy
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.50-$26.50 per hour
