Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our after school team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, nurturing children's development, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child's unique needs.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Utilize effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education services or working with disabilities. Maintain organized classroom materials and resources, ensuring an efficient learning space. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience. Demonstrate leadership qualities by mentoring assistant teachers or interns when applicable.

Requirements

Must live in Halton Hills or within 15 mins from Acton, Ontario

Early Childhood Education degree or diploma Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential. Bilingual abilities in English and French are a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and families. Proficient computer skills for classroom management and educational purposes. Excellent time management and organizational skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively. Classroom experience demonstrating the ability to create engaging learning activities. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration among staff members. A commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education practices.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
