Calling all Registered Early Childhood Educators! Andrew Fleck Children's Services is hiring for our new Forest Explorer Child Care Centre. A Forest & Nature School Certification isn't required to apply - a condition of employment will be to obtain the FNS certificate within two years of hire. Available from: December 8th, 2025 to August 21st, 2026

Salary: $27.43 to $32.12 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, shifts between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm

Location: Forest Explorer Child Care Centre, 411 Corkstown Rd

Please note that access to the centre is difficult without a car as there is no public transportation that goes down Corkstown Rd

In this role you will...

Participate in a child-focused curriculum where staff and children work together to expand and develop a wide range of skills and competence based on the emergent curriculum philosophy. An emergent curriculum is one that builds upon the interests of the children. It is often spontaneous and responsive to their immediate interests; topics are driven by the ideas and questions from the children themselves Engage in caring, curious, and respectful interactions with children to support their growing relationships with themselves, each other, and the natural world Actively encourage and promote outdoor learning and play with the children Be committed to the welfare and development of all children, and be available for consultation, information, and resources for families and guardians Welcome the diversity of all families, role modelling inclusive and accessible language
To qualify for this role...

Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education & RECE in good standing with the CECE Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a group setting Forest & Nature School Certification is considered an asset A condition of employment will be to obtain FNS
Certification within 2 years
Valid driving license and access to a car A keen interest and comfortability in working with children in the outdoors in all weather and all seasons Clear Police Records check completed in last 6 months Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification Proven ability to work closely with other team members Sensitivity and respect for individual and cultural differences Adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of the job
