Macklin House Daycare is seeking a qualified, dedicated and experienced Registered Early Childhood Educator/Equivalent and Early Childhood Assistant to join our team to facilitate the delivery of quality care and service to the children and their families enrolled in our program.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the learning centre,
Have knowledge of and standards according to CCEYA
Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Ensure that age-appropriate activities and program are planned and implemented.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, staff, and visitors.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers,
Maintain accurate records and documentation, including attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones.
Collaborate with external agencies and professionals as needed to support the needs of children and families.
Stay updated with current best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education.
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) in Ontario.
2 years experience in an early childhood education setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Vulnerable Sector Police Check conducted within the last 6 months
Completion of a 2-step TB test.
Strong computer skills - ability to navigate Microsoft Excell, Word
