Registered Dietitian

to join our team and provide nutrition counselling and medical nutrition therapy to patients referred by our physicians and healthcare providers.

Position Overview

The dietitian will work onsite at our clinic and see patients referred by our doctors. This role operates under a

split-overhead model

: the clinic provides space and administrative support, while the dietitian provides direct patient care. Compensation will be based on a percentage of billings (insurance-covered and private-pay sessions).

Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized nutrition assessments, counselling, and evidence-based care to patients referred by physicians. Develop, implement, and monitor nutrition care plans tailored to patient needs. Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support integrated patient care. Educate patients and families on nutrition-related health conditions, prevention, and lifestyle management. Participate in case discussions and contribute to ongoing improvement of clinic services.

Qualifications

Registered Dietitian in good standing with the

College of Dietitians of Ontario

. Liability insurance (professional practice insurance) as required by the College. Experience in clinical nutrition, primary care, or private practice preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and healthcare providers. Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team. Being able to communicate in Tagalog is not mandatory but preferred as there is a high Filipino population in this clinic.

Compensation Structure

Split-overhead model

: Percentage of each patient session billed through extended health insurance or private-pay. Clinic provides referrals, patient flow, administrative support, and clinical space. Dietitian is responsible for professional standards, licensing, and ongoing compliance.

Schedule

Flexible hours, based on patient referrals and clinic scheduling. Opportunity to build a steady caseload with physician-referred patients.
