Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable
Registered Dietitian
to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and implement individualized nutrition care plans to support clients with a wide range of health conditions. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving health outcomes through food and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, including medical history, dietary intake, and lifestyle factors.
Develop and implement personalized meal plans and nutrition strategies tailored to client needs.
Provide evidence-based education and counselling for chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular health, obesity, gastrointestinal disorders).
Support clients in achieving health and wellness goals such as weight management, improved energy levels, and optimal nutrient intake.
Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, naturopaths, and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care.
Monitor client progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust nutrition plans as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with professional and organizational standards.
Deliver group education sessions, workshops, or seminars as required.
Stay current with research and best practices in dietetics and nutrition.
Qualifications
Registered Dietitian (RD) in good standing with the
College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO)
(required).
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and community nutrition.
Proficiency in interpreting lab results and applying medical nutrition therapy in practice.
Excellent verbal and written communication, patient education, and motivational counselling skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year clinical or community dietetics experience (preferred).
New graduates registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario are welcome to apply.
