Aramark Healthcare is seeking a Dietitian/Food Service Manager for a 28-bed acute and long-term care facility in Labrador City, NL.Reporting to the Regional Director of Food and Environmental Services, the Dietitian/Food Service Manager will lead the Food Services team in positively impacting patient health and well-being by providing an exceptional service that complies with the standards established by Aramark Healthcare, regulatory agencies and client. This position will also be responsible for the provision of clinical nutrition services at the site.If you are looking for a destination that combines your work, with wilderness adventure, and Inuit culture, Labrador City might be the place for you. You can enjoy winter sports, hiking, fishing, and hunting in the surrounding forests and lakes.Job ResponsibilitiesProvides appropriate assessment and treatment of referred patients/residents/clients within an acute inpatient, outpatient and long term care setting.? Records client assessment, progress and discharge status.? Drives patient satisfaction and maintains client relationships through rounding. Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.? Recruit, hire, and manage performance of food service employees.? Oversee employee payroll and employee work schedules, maintaining adequate staffing levels.? Oversee all financial reporting including operating budget, forecast, and results to achieve company and client objectives? Manages and controls resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply and cost control within budgetary guidelines.? Provide supportive leadership; a feeling of complete trust, security, and satisfaction through demonstrations of competence and willingness to serve.? Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient/resident population; demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population.? Assist in maintenance of all controls for each of the Aramark programs, to include: Operations Logs and Records, Account Records, Weekly Inspections, Safety and Systems, etc., in accordance with Aramark and the facility\'s directives.? Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal nutrition care and meal service to patients/residents.? Successful completion of a Bachelor?s degree in a 4-year Dietitians of Canada accredited university food/nutrition program degree/discipline or recognized equivalent required.
? Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.
? Must be a member of or eligible for membership with the NLCD
? 2+ years? experience in food service operations management in a hospitality or healthcare facility.
? Excellent knowledge of clinical nutrition principles and evidence based nutrition practice.
? Working knowledge of HACCP in a food service operation.
? Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
? Ability to communicate (listening, verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff.
? Ability to write letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
