Key Responsibilities



Provide personalized nutritional assessments, counselling, and education to clients via telehealth platforms. Develop and implement nutrition care plans based on individual client needs, goals, and preferences. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive care. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in nutrition and dietetics. Document client interactions and progress accurately in the electronic health records system. Be available on-call to respond to client needs as they arise, providing timely and professional support. Participate in virtual team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:



Registered Dietitian (RD) with the College of Dietitians of Alberta. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or community setting, with a strong background in telehealth preferred. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable and compassionate manner. Proficient with telehealth technology, electronic health records, and other digital tools. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities effectively. Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment. Current liability insurance and a valid Alberta driver's license (in case of potential transition to in-person care).

Preferred Skills:



Experience in specialized areas such as chronic disease management, weight management, pediatric nutrition, or sports nutrition. Bilingual in English and another language commonly spoken in Alberta (e.g., French, Punjabi).

Contract Details:



Flexible hours based on client demand; primarily remote with potential for occasional in-person consultations in the future. Competitive pay split, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Opportunity for professional growth and involvement in a dynamic, patient-centered healthcare team.
