Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments to maintain optimal oral hygiene for patients. Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by examining patients' gums and teeth. Document patient treatment plans and progress in the dental software system (experience with Dentrix is preferred). Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care, including orthodontic assessments and pediatric treatments. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.

Skills

Proficiency in orthodontics and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices. Previous experience in dental assisting or within a dental office setting is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service to foster positive patient relationships. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated and detail-oriented.
