Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental family at Sandcastle Dental. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort, and promoting oral health education. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children. A commitment to excellent customer service and a passion for dentistry are essential.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Assess patient oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software. Assist in managing patient flow and ensuring a positive experience in the dental office. Collaborate with the dentist on treatment plans and patient care strategies. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with pediatrics, orthodontics, and medical terminology is advantageous. Experience in customer service within a dental office environment is highly valued. Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
