Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health, and supporting the overall operations of our dental practice. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, facilitating dental exams, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.

We are looking for someone to join our team on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

We are located in downtown Toronto, in the financial district, with easy access to public transit.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments using appropriate techniques and instruments. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff. Maintain accurate medical/dental records and documentation. Utilize patient software systems for efficient patient management and documentation review. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Provide education to patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventative care. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry as well as periodontics.

Experience

Previous experience of

at least 2 years

in a dental office or clinic setting is required. Understanding of dental and medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation and patient care. Familiarity with Paradigm dental software is an asset. A strong commitment to patient care and infection control and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are critical for success in this role. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
