Overview

Our locally owned dental office is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team for 2 days per week. Specifically Thursdays from 9am-6pm and Fridays from 9am-1pm. Option for additional hours in the future. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventative dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist in various procedures.

Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Take and develop dental X-rays as needed. Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software. Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patients. Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies.

Skills

Proficiency in working within a dental office environment. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care. Bilingual abilities are an asset (but not required) for effective communication with diverse patient populations. Experience using Open Dental software for patient management is preferred.
