Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Duties

Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and develop dental radiographs as needed Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with patient examinations and record findings accurately in the dental management system (e.g., Dentrix) Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to develop comprehensive treatment plans Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, treatments, and follow-up care Support pediatric patients and adapt communication techniques accordingly

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice Proven experience working in a dental office environment, preferably with pediatrics or orthodontics Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including bilingual capabilities are a plus Experience or familiarity with orthodontic procedures is advantageous Ability to work collaboratively within a team of dental professionals including assistants and front office staff Prior dental assisting experience is beneficial but not mandatory Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilization protocols

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
