Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during each visit. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar software. Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area. Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide exceptional patient care. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Skills

Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. Excellent customer service skills to enhance patient experience. Experience in orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with diverse patient populations. Previous experience in a dental office or as a dental assistant is preferred but not required. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
