Registered Dental Hygienist - Part-time, 1-2 days per week

Orthodontic and Periodontic Office

We are a well established orthodontic dental office with a specialty in periodontics, looking to add a part-time hygienist to our team - someone committed to patient care. Requirements and Qualifications:

Licensed and in good standing with the province of Ontario Successful completion of accredited college dental hygiene program Friendly and approachable Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Team player Efficient time management skills Communicate in a timely, respectful and effective manner Ability to ensure confidentiality in all aspects of the position

Key Responsibilities

Remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth Instruct patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling) Patient charting & documentation Greet client and accompany them from the waiting room to the treatment room Review medical information with client Ensure that records and treatment plans are recorded Ensure that consent forms for treatment and release of information are signed as required Complete oral hygiene instruction and demonstration as required Offer recommendations to clients and/or families for treatment and home care Assist other team members when needed Other duties as assigned or required

Certification/Licenses

Dental Hygienist License (required) CPR and HARP Certified
