Jade Dental is seeking a

skilled and compassionate Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist

to join our close-knit team in the heart of Ottawa's Chinatown. Our ideal candidate is someone who is fluent in

Mandarin

, values respectful patient care, and is eager to grow with a modern clinic rooted in community and trust.

This role starts at

2-3 days per week (16-24 hours)

with

the potential to grow into a full-time position

as our patient base continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

Perform gentle and thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and preventative care Educate patients on oral hygiene habits and post-treatment care in

both Mandarin and English

Maintain clear and accurate patient records using digital software (e.g., ABELDent, DEXIS) Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and respected throughout their visit Work closely with the dentist and dental assistant to provide a seamless, supportive clinical experience Contribute to a calm, welcoming, and culturally inclusive environment Follow all infection control and clinical safety protocols Assist with pediatric and multi-generational patient care as needed

Qualifications

Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the

CDHO

Fluency in Mandarin is required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a dynamic clinical setting Familiarity with ABELDent or similar digital systems is an asset A warm, team-first attitude with a passion for patient wellness and education Experience with orthodontics or pediatric patients is a bonus
