Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic, family friendly dental team. The ideal candidate must be passionate about patient care and committed to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health practices, and assisting in the overall operation of our dental office.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Maintain accurate patient records using ABELDent and Dexis Ensure the sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols. Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring a comfortable experience. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and office efficiency. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Requirements

Valid Ontario license and current CPR to practice as a Dental Hygienist. New grads welcomed. We are willing to train. Knowledge of Itero is advantageous Strong customer service skills with an ability to create a welcoming environment for patients. Experience in pediatrics is advantageous, as you may work with children regularly. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dental hygiene. Flexibility with hours, if others need to be covered for vacations, appointments and family needs

Pay: $49.00-$53.00 per hour
