Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. Must be BC registered with BCCOHP. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. Must be able to work Saturdays. As a Dental Hygienist, you'll be an essential member of our clinical team, helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health through preventive care and personalized education.

Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and preventive hygiene treatments. Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Conduct periodontal assessments and assist in dental examinations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Educate patients on oral health care, disease prevention, and home care techniques. Provide chairside assistance to ensure patient comfort and safety. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Cleardent Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure exceptional patient care and experience.

Experience

Previous experience in dental hygiene and assisting is preferred. Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics will be beneficial for this role. Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. Experience with Cleardent or similar dental management software is desirable.
