Scenic Acres Dental in NW Calgary is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team full-time (4 days OR 5 days a week). The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, exceptional clinical skills, and a team-oriented and positive attitude. Our practice has a supportive and respectful environment for all team members, a commitment to high-quality patient care and education and amazing patients! This role is an excellent opportunity for you to find your new dental home. Position requires Saturdays however our practice is closed all long weekends.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup while ensuring patient comfort. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of maintaining good dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Dentrix. Support infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to prevent cross-contamination. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members in delivering comprehensive general dentistry services tailored to each patient's needs. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and provide post-treatment instructions clearly and effectively. Review documentation for accuracy, update medical coding as necessary, and ensure all patient information is current and complete. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in accordance with dental terminology and healthcare regulations.

Requirements

Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alberta Proven experience working in dental clinics or dental offices Strong knowledge of dental terminology, the APP classification system and a commitment to growth and education Knowledge of iTero an asset Excellent patient care skills with effective communication for education patients New grads welcome
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00-$58.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 37.5 per week
