Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health, and promoting preventive dental practices. You will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to deliver exceptional service in a friendly and supportive environment.

Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff. Assist in chairside procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Provide education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to patients. Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and management of patient information. Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans based on patient assessments. Stay updated on current dental practices, technologies, and regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Dentrix software is a plus. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and medical coding is beneficial. Familiarity with anatomy knowledge, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Strong understanding of general dentistry principles as well as pediatric dentistry practices. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and assessment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.
