Job Summary:
Join our reputable family dental practice as a Dental Hygienist and become a valued member of our friendly and dynamic team. We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to fill a permanent position on Thursdays. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional patient care skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dental services.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with patients while upholding ethical and professional conduct.
- Prepare hygiene rooms following strict infection control guidelines and practice protocols.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments in compliance with infection control standards.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records using specialized software.
- Collaborate with the dental team to discuss periodontal treatment options with patients, educate them on their periodontal health, and emphasize the importance of home care.
- Perform preventive services including polishing, scaling, topical fluoride applications, taking radiographs, providing oral hygiene instructions, and reviewing patients' medical histories.

Experience:
- Valid license to practice in Ontario.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Strong work ethic coupled with technical proficiency.
- Preferably a minimum of 1 year of experience; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) is mandatory.
- HARP certification is required.

Skills:
- Experience in Pediatrics and Orthodontics is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Maxident software is preferred.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is beneficial.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
