Our non corporate family dental clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team to cover a maternity leave position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings and educating patients on oral hygiene practices.. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for patient care. The position starts January 2026 to mid February 2027.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Power Practice dental software.
Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
Stay updated on medical terminology and best practices in dental hygiene.
Qualifications
Valid provincial license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Familiarity with Power Practice or similar dental office management software is preferred.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
Understanding of privacy requirements in Alberta and ability to keep patient information confidential.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $53.00-$66.89 per hour
