Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting in the overall management of patient health. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a dental practice.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix software. Assist in orthodontic procedures and provide support in pediatric dentistry as required. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in using Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping. Experience or knowledge in orthodontics and pediatrics is highly desirable. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations. Strong background in dental assisting or previous dental office experience is preferred. Excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive patient experience at all times. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential for effective communication within the team and with patients.
