Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health. Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays). Document patient care services by charting in the electronic health record system, such as Dentrix. Provide support to the dentist during procedures, including orthodontics and other treatments. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Build rapport with patients through exceptional customer service and communication skills. Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental hygiene practices.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with dental assisting is a plus. Knowledge of orthodontics is beneficial but not required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance patient communication. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with patients and team members. Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
