We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, excellent communication skills, punctual, reliable, strong integrity, professionalism, highly organized and detail-oriented in clinical work.. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical history reviews to determine oral health needs.
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, applying fluoride treatments, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to support the dentist during treatments.
Take and document vital signs as necessary, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
Utilize medical imaging technology for diagnostic purposes and review documentation for accuracy.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures while demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care experiences and improve overall clinic efficiency.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, documentation review, and medical coding.
Minimum of 2 years of RDH experience
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Commitment to ongoing education in infection control practices and advancements in dental hygiene techniques.
Schedule
Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Potential to add an additional day in the future.
