Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, focusing on preventive oral health practices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient education and comfort, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention during their visit.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in the dental software system. Assist the dentist during procedures as required, ensuring a smooth workflow. Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment options and follow-up care. Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies to enhance patient care.

Skills

Proficiency in working with pediatric patients is preferred. Experience in a dental office setting, with familiarity in using Dentrix software being a plus. Knowledge of orthodontics is beneficial for assisting with specific patient needs. Bilingual abilities are highly valued for effective communication with diverse patient populations. Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with patients and their families. Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous for seamless collaboration within the team. Understanding of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals.
