Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills, making it essential for the candidate to be both detail-oriented and compassionate.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain patient records accurately using Maxident dental software Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Manage the sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Support oral surgery procedures and assist with pediatric dental care as required. Utilize CAD technology for creating dental models or assisting in digital impressions when applicable. Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but willing to train. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and quick keyboarding skills are essential. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members. Certification in Dental Assisting. Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 40 per week
