Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice to cover a medical leave over the summer. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
This position will be 4-5 days/week over the summer, with the possibility of further shifts becoming available in the near future as well.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient treatments. Take and develop dental radiographs as needed. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software
Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with dental software (e.g. Cleardent) is advantageous.
