Our fun, modern and established NW Dental Office is searching for a dedicated Dental Assistant (RDA2) to join our practice. We are looking for an RDA who has a passion for helping others, a strong work ethic and a fantastic attitude. Two years experience is preferred. This Position is 4 days per week (Saturdays are required) with some flexibility to hire 3 or 5 days depending upon the candidates needs. Our practice is closed ALL long weekends. We would like someone who is committed to our team but also flexible with work hours and days. Dentrix knowledge is also an asset.

Duties



Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays, as well as perform medical imaging when necessary. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and assist with medical documentation. Provide support in pediatric dentistry by engaging with young patients to ensure their comfort during visits. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the dental clinic.

Skills



Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures related to general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics. Experience with chairside assisting techniques and familiarity with 3D scanners. Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting. Ability to take accurate X-rays and perform medical imaging tasks as required. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members. Dentrix and iTero knowledge an asset
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
