Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist in various procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting . Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Conduct preliminary assessments by measuring vital signs and obtaining medical history. Utilize EMR systems such as Abeldent for efficient record management. Assist with various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques is essential. Strong understanding of infection control procedures to ensure patient safety. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications will be considered an asset. Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour
