Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as proficiency in relevant software systems.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Handle administrative tasks, including billing and insurance processing as needed. Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in various specialties, including orthodontics and pediatrics.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and medical terminology. Experience with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix and Epic. Knowledge of orthodontic procedures is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology is advantageous but not required.
