Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and perform front desk duties as needed, including handling insurance claims and billing inquiries. Support orthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting with appliance adjustments. Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure a positive experience for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable. Familiarity with orthodontics procedures and terminology is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is a nice-to-have for certain procedures.
