We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Play Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly with children, and possess the skills necessary to provide effective therapeutic interventions. This role is essential in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of our pediatric patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
Duties
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
Provide therapy sessions to children, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to their unique needs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Educate families about treatment options and strategies for supporting their child's development.
Qualifications
Background in special education or experience with children who have developmental challenges is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and other professionals.
Compassionate approach with a strong commitment to patient care and advocacy.
Licensed and registered to work in BC, Canada
Registered Clinical Counsellor license to practice
Neurodiverse population experience is beneficial
