: Contract Therapist/Registered Clinical Counsellor (Must be registered with BCACC)
Responsibilities
:
Provide virtual counselling sessions, with the opportunity to offer in-person sessions at our Vancouver-based office, which is currently available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays;
On occasion, offer complimentary 15-minute consultations for potential clients, either virtually or via phone;
Maintain clinical records and complete proper record keeping in a timely and professional manner;
Engage in ongoing professional development and external supervision;
Maintain good professional standing with BCACC;
Hold professional liability insurance and a business license allowing practice in British Columbia.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Master's degree or higher from a recognized program in clinical counselling or counselling psychology;
Professional registration with BCACC
Assets:
Evening and/or weekend availability
We're especially interested in applicants with experience in the following areas: parenting/coparenting/divorce, eating challenges/disorders, substance use, OCD, phobias, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, PMDD, immigration, and couples work, including sex therapy.
Additional assets include training or experience with the following approaches: Somatic Experiencing, AEDP, EMDR, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
