Our Dilawri BC Region is currently looking to fill a position of a Regional Training & Development Manager.

Under the supervision of the VP, Operations, the Regional Training & Development Manager - BC is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of current and future employee training and development from building a plan, developing systems, implementation and monitoring, measurement and reporting. This position will leverage knowledge and understanding of dealership and industry operations to support employee compliance and growth

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Liaise between National, Regional and Dealership management to provide local in-region programs
  • Develop, implement and monitor training programs within the region
  • Supervise technical training for staff
  • Conduct orientation sessions
  • Create brochure and training materials
  • Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations
  • Create testing and evaluation processes
  • Prepare and implement training budget
  • Evaluate needs of company and plan training programs accordingly
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Provide region with classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences and workshops
  • Manage staff of facilitators
  • Provide performance feedback
  • Conduct continuing education training
  • Provide leadership development education
  • Build solid cross-functional relations across the regions
  • Provide logistical support, course development, deliver, evaluation, process measurements and cost management
  • Plan the implementation and facilitation of activities and events, budget spending, material production and distribution, along with other resources to ensure operations are managed within authorized budgets
  • Assist with the development of strategic planning
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated experience working within a training environment in the automotive industry or a similar retail environment * Strong understanding of compliance and development needs of employees
  • Proven experience with using technology to benefit operations
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of systems and related technologies considered an asset
  • Prior Automotive dealership or related leadership considered an asset
  • Experience in information-intensive industries or digitally-advanced enterprises
  • Experience of working through business change or business transformation
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • University or post-secondary degree
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources and/ or education management role, with proven leadership
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex retail systems and integrations
  • Ability to troubleshoot, triage issues and identify possible solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Communicate effectively through verbal and written mediums
  • Capability to self-learn new industry policy, dealer systems & software applications
  • Ability to network and develop key strategic business partnerships
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined
  • Capability of managing multiple projects simultaneously
