In this front-line, on-site role, you'll work directly with Justice stakeholders in a collaborative environment, supporting both established and emerging technologies. Your work will help ensure the reliability, security, and effectiveness of IT services that are essential to the delivery of justice.
About the job

As part of our team, you will:
provide technical expertise and support to clients in the evaluation, testing, installation, administration, maintenance, and operation of business applications, systems, and hardware across geographically dispersed sites
deliver technical support for current and emerging in-court technologies, including digital recording devices, electronic evidentiary display systems, remote witness testimony, and video conferencing tools
perform ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and testing across multiple sites to prevent downtime, including troubleshooting system performance issues (hardware, software, and network)
support non-standard devices and software used by the Judiciary
liaise with third-party vendors for hardware, software, and telecommunications support, including repairs, replacements, and system modifications
provide advice and recommendations on technical strategies, solutions, and tools to support Court Services and the Judiciary
deliver Tier 2 support and training to end users

Mandatory requirements
You have a valid Class "G" driver's licence (or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario) to travel to remote sites where other transportation options may not be available.

Information technology knowledge and skills
You have knowledge of:
information technology concepts and principles
various types of computer hardware such as servers, desktops, notebook computers, multi-function devices (MFDs), peripheral equipment, and network technologies (wiring, routers, switches, local area networks, wide area networks, and wireless networks)
maintenance operations, testing, diagnostic software, data back-up software, and recovery procedures
basic audio-visual systems, including audio systems and electronic displays

Communication and interpersonal skills
You can:
explain technical concepts, prepare documentation, and provide support to users with varying levels of technical expertise
communicate and collaborate with tact, judgment, and discretion
work independently and as part of a team
apply training methodologies and best practices to prepare and deliver user training
