If you?re interested in becoming part of a growing and dynamic Sales Team, Trudell Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Regional Manager to lead our Ontario and Western Canada Sales teams!

The Position: Leads regional field sales initiatives by establishing business relationships with key opinion leaders, industry associations (Retailer/Health Care Practitioners & Patients), pharmacy banners and private/public payers. Lead/coach an internal general practioner/speciality sales force and pharmacy broker to ensure awareness and attainment of our Trudell Medical International respiratory product portfolio sales and profitability objectives; liaise, assist and work with our hospital division sales team to maximize sales opportunities within the hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

People Management
  • Ensure the performance of all direct reports is evaluated to maximize their performance and development throughout the year and during the annual performance review.
  • Foster training and development for the department.
  • Develop staff by following management practices and setting appropriate objectives.
  • Ensure clear expectations are set with staff.
  • Plan regular in-field and virtual working sessions with team members.


Relationship Management
  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders, industry associations and clinical stakeholders that can improve the positioning of the product portfolio as a formidable market player.
  • Build relations and manage regional public/private payers.
  • Maximize opportunities with inbound leads in conjunction with strong teamwork and alignment with marketing colleagues and digital activities.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with pharmacy brokered field force e.g. training, promotional activities and messaging; review and analyze for sales effectiveness and competitive activity, etc.
  • Respond to questions and concerns from external decisions makers with relevant data in a timely manner.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and related events as required.


Sales Management & Analysis
  • Achieve annual sales targets while staying within a defined expense budget.
  • Develop and execute regional business plans.
  • Support and coordinate regional hospital business as needed.
  • Analyze the financial data of sales performance to either confirm or modify action plan if necessary
  • Communicate regularly with other Regional Manager, Director of Sales to provide market feedback and recommendations
  • Manage all sales activities and key metrics ensuring they are uploaded and regularly monitored, measured and adjusted in our C.R.M. system (Salesforce.com) accurately and in a timely manner.


Key Account Responsibilities
  • Maintain optimal product placement and advertising/educational activities with Ontario & Western pharmacy banners/wholesalers for all existing and new product launches.
  • Develop action plan to maximize core product sales and product pull-through while increasing market share and distribution in designated regional key accounts
  • Deliver a unified approach with other regions and national key accounts in Canada
  • Educate key accounts on the economic and clinical benefits of company core products and programs.
  • Collect and measure relevant data to maximize analysis opportunities relating to new market opportunities & channels, competitive detail and industry trends.
  • Maximize new product listings and commercial details for Ontario & Western key accounts.


Product Knowledge & Management
  • Develop a clear understanding of all aspects of TMI?s product portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain strong clinical awareness of relevant therapy areas and their associated drug delivery and/or therapeutic mechanisms.
  • Ensure that all sales activity and key metric reporting are prepared on time.
  • Execution excellence of prescriber, retail and digital marketing activities and promotional campaigns
  • Feedback to internal resources market insights, e.g., competitive details, industry trends, etc.


Administration
  • Maintain regular and ongoing communication with Director of Sales, Medical Sales Representatives and other internal customers.
  • Ensure communication is effective and informative regarding issues which may affect the quality of service or products.
  • Ensure competitive information or data on products is provided to Marketing.
  • Maintain up to date and relevant customer and sales process information.


Skills & Qualifications:
Education and Experience
  • Degree in Business, Medical Sciences or a related field of study.
  • Minimum five (5) years of proven experience managing and leading a sales team.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in the sales industry, preferrably within the healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or consumer brands marketplace.
  • A proven sales track record
  • Proven experience building strong relationships with key retail customers
  • Proven experience developing successful distribution markets
  • Solid understanding of the Canadian medical retail markets, business practices and regulations
  • Solid understanding of private and public health insurers and mechanisms for medical device reimbursement
  • Vast experience and proven success in coaching and motivating teams with multi-channel-based technology
  • Computer literate with:
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce.com or comparable C.R.M. systems.
  • Intermediate experience in MS Excel (spreadsheets), Power Point (presentations), Word (word processing), and other MS applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated skills in oral presentation and providing training seminars.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills


Essential Duties:
  • Ability to safely and lawfully operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs (23kg).
  • Ability to regularly travel throughout the Ontario and Western Regions, at least 40-50% of the time.


Working Conditions:
  • Field/ home office setting.
  • Frequent interruptions.
  • A full class driver?s licence, and at least three (3) years? driving experience with an ongoing satisfactory driver?s abstract is required.
  • Compensation based on a regular work week of thirty-seven and one half (37.5) working hours, with additional working hours as required to meet ongoing business demands and to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Ineligible for overtime compensation.
