CWB Equipment Financing is a team of specialized individuals who know heavy equipment industries inside and out. Our crew members are not typical office dwellers, corporate nine to fivers\' - we are regularly on-site, connecting with clients, when it makes sense for them.

The opportunity

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) provides leadership to a geographically focused team of specialists to incite development, growth, and profitability by building strong client relationships and providing financial solutions to business owners operating in equipment-intensive industries. and the RSD is known for their excellent people leadership skills and creates a culture that inspires dedication, success, and aligns with CWB values. The RSD will lead the execution of CWB\xe2\x80\x99s strategic agenda and seize opportunities for growth in a complex, diverse and constantly evolving environment.

The day-to-day

Leadership

Provide visible and effective leadership to mobilize the team in line with our brand promise, winning aspiration, and change priorities, both with internal teams and externally in the market.

Build a successful and positive team culture in line that is fair, fun, progressive, diverse, and inclusive, where people feel they make a difference. Reinforce coaching practice throughout the region with clear and consistent expectations, activities, and accountability, leading by example

Facilitate ongoing training, development, and career growth for teams

Proactively collaborate with a wide range of partners across all CWB group companies to build credible, trusting, and candid relationships

Provide strong leadership of key change initiatives ensuring consensus and strong execution

Sales leadership & coaching

Drive proactive sales activities, lead, and manage accountability for and attainment of key performance measures including targeted goals for profitable loan growth, net new clients and internal business referrals required to grow franchised client relationships.

Deliver world-class client experiences at every interaction to continuously build a differentiated experience. Conduct proactively recurring coaching of sales and financial professionals, as determined by established operating rhythms.

Expand addressable market and new sales opportunities within assigned territories by ensuring all team members are accountable for proactive business development activities, including targeted prospecting and calling programs

Achieve consistent operating rhythms to manage activities and deliver sales targets while maintaining strong frameworks for accountability and communications

Develop, strategize, and implement a business development program in the applicable markets to achieve targeted growth. Develop a market specific strategy to drive growth and diversification in portfolio.

Regional portfolio management & operations

Provide oversight and guidance on credit requests ensuring applications exhibit quality risk assessment and analysis as well as appropriate pricing within defined credit policies and procedures

Manages prudent lending (quality underwriting) and effective controls (disciplined data integrity, forecasting, compliance, and monitoring) in accordance with CWB policy and relevant regulatory requirements

Use data and available information to minimize loan and revenue loss experienced, through implementation of programs and procedures to identify and manage problem loans

Ensure timely and consistent follow-up for account reviews, compliance targets are met, and interest rates/fee-based revenues are properly established

Champion use of customer relationship management tools and data analytics capabilities that facilitate effective performance planning and activity reporting, business forecasting, target-setting, and sales process optimization

Responsible for oversight and management of annual operating budgets and ongoing performance reporting for designated sales region,

Ensure appropriate balance between growth and profitability in consideration of targeted credit quality thresholds and risk appetite

Drive focus on key efficiency and expense metrics to ensure performance and meet all profit expectations, including adherence to expense budgets and implementation of business transformation initiatives

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow with

Financial and marketing knowledge of local markets and national economies built on a foundation of formal education (business, commerce, finance, sales, marketing diploma/degree) with 8 plus years of sales or sales management experience (preferably in equipment financing and leasing), including 5 years in a sales operation, business planning, or sales support management role. Subject matter expert in sales with proven success in developing, leading & implementing sales plans with extensive experience in business development, negotiations, and risk management for sophisticated financial transactions in the equipment finance and/or easing space. Robust understanding of multi product offering including cap-ex lines, consolidations, share acquisitions, and working capital. Talent management, inclusive of effective hiring, talent development, performance management and reward processes and programs across areas of responsibility that positively impact attraction, motivation, engagement, and retention of best-in-class talent.
