Pharmasave is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Regional Operations Specialist to join our Operations team. This full-time permanent role is central to supporting Pharmasave owners in achieving optimal sales revenue and profitability across both front store and pharmacy operations. Reporting to the Region Director, Operations & Professional Affairs, the successful candidate will work closely with store owners, managers, and teams to achieve business goals and objectives.

Where you will be working:



Home-office based Remote in Alberta Regular travel required to support Pharmasave locations, mostly in Alberta Occasional travel to Pharmasave meetings and events

Role Overview



As the Regional Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting regular store visits, assessing operational needs, and supporting the successful implementation of merchandising, marketing, and pharmacy initiatives. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, guiding stores through best practices, and ensuring alignment with Pharmasave's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct regular store visits to evaluate store performance, communicate initiatives, and address operational challenges. Review sales metrics with store leadership and support implementation of all Pharmasave programs. Collaborate with the Region Operations Team to develop tailored support plans for stores. Provide comprehensive support for inventory management, staffing, customer service, store communications, community outreach, marketing, merchandising standards, and pharmacy technology optimization. Analyze category performance and product movement to support improvements in purchasing, inventory management, and pricing strategies. Facilitate and coordinate training, recruitment, and sharing of operational best practices across Pharmasave stores. Ensure all stores consistently meet Pharmasave's brand and operational standards. Advise on store layouts and merchandising, and support new store launches and business development projects. Maintain detailed activity reports and track store visits, action plans, and follow-ups.
Qualifications & Competencies

Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmacy or retail management (pharmacy assistant, technician, pharmacist, or store manager). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy systems (Kroll knowledge is an asset). Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Highly organized with effective time management and adaptability. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Familiarity with POS operations and business reporting. Financial acumen and understanding of the retail pharmacy business model. Ability to travel regularly throughout Alberta and occasionally across Canada, including overnight stays Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
