To support our initiatives, we are currently seeking a dynamic Operations Director to oversee our expanding network of community cardiology clinics across GTA and Central Ontario.
The Role:
The Operations Director at SMP will be responsible for the overall management and operational performance of multiple medical offices within the assigned region, reporting to the COO. This role requires a strategic leader with strong operational, financial, and administrative skills to ensure the highest standards of patient care, team performance, and clinic efficiency. The Operations Director will develop and implement strategies to enhance clinic performance, achieve organizational goals and elevate patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of multiple medical offices to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and improve service delivery.
Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among staff.
Collaborate with medical directors and healthcare providers to maintain high standards of patient care.
Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate and manage staffing needs, including recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, suppliers, and community partners.
Key Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will be results-oriented, highly motivated to succeed, and possess multi-unit leadership experience in the medical field. A business degree is an asset. Strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret data, and make strategic decisions are essential. Additionally, candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing priorities:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is an asset (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple locations and plan and execute work independently.
Excellent financial management and analytical skills.
Ability to foster teamwork and motivate, coach, and support teams to drive desired results.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Sound judgment and proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
Ability to travel within the assigned region as required.
