Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity to join our Retail Marketing department. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager, Toyota Retail Marketing. The selected candidate will champion effective and efficient brand-aligned marketing efforts through all communication channels and customer touch points - specifically at the retail level - by working closely with regional Toyota Dealer Associations (TDAs) and Toyota dealers (Tier 3) by influencing with insights, action and consistency. What You'll be Doing:
Retail Brand Custodianship
Inform and inspire a better & differentiated approach to marketing at the retail level that collectively grows our business, experience and brand desire
Support dealerships with aligning their advertising and customer-facing activities with the Toyota brand (appropriate message, correct use of advertising, etc.) by ensuring cross-tier collaboration and alignment across Sales & After-Sales
Provide dealers with curated marketing advice regarding tactical advertising creative & media choices (new vehicle sales, parts & service, accessories, ECP etc.) in line with TCI brand compliance & Tier 3 mandate (i.e. use of visuals, overall messaging)
Review with dealers marketing capability scorecard; identify opportunities for improvement, share best-practices & possible countermeasures; conduct follow-ups.
Assist TCI experiential team by promoting dealer opportunities to leverage national partnerships at the regional / dealer level (National Sports Organizations, athletes, tradeshows, etc.)
Advise dealers on ways to increase showroom traffic (merchandising, lead capture and follow-ups, etc.)
Explain and assess dealer omnichannel approach to marketing, and assist in the creation of ideas and strategy
Enhance Dealership Digital Capability
Inform and educate dealership sales & service marketing staff on Digital capability and effectiveness to create consistent awareness of basic facets of digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, display, website (on page and off page), Google tools, social, etc.
Consult with Dealerships on digital opportunities in their area
Brand-Aligned Dealer Communications & Coop Advertising Compliance
Present marketing communications plans and approaches from Tier 1 (national advertising) and Tier 2 (TDA advertising) to inform and inspire Dealerships
Inform Dealerships on best-practices re: usage of resources (AdBuilder, Digital Play Books, Google Analytics, Digital play books, Internal Website & Digital Advertising Analytics, nameplate communications etc.)
Provide dealer learning opportunities for creation of brand-aligned dealer-level advertising
Explain and reinforce TCI brand standards & purpose
Advise Dealerships on effective co-op usage & compliance requirements
Regional Marketing and TDA Support
Become the regional marketing representative with the TDA agency's regional representative as required (Dealer advertising templates required, meetings with Dealers, Annual Planning Meetings, Consulting on Toyota Dealer Association Dealer-Facing Communications etc.)
Support Tier 1 & 2 activations in dealer communities where required, such as National Sports Organizations and athlete activities, auto show activations, and liaising with Dealers where required
Continuous Improvement
Serve as the Dealer and regional-facing subject matter expert on all past, present and future Business Innovation initiatives, including Dealer's individual marketing scorecard, use of internal advertising portal, Dealer Digital Solutions program, etc.
Gain Dealer buy-in on these initiatives, support with onboarding, proper usage and follow-ups
Review Dealer-owned website data and analytics to support overall Marketing initiatives for Sales and After Sales
*Please note, this role requires frequent travel*
What You'll Bring:
University degree or college diploma in Business, Marketing (e.g. Automotive, Retail, Digital), or in a related discipline
5+ years of experience in marketing and/or Retail & Dealer relationship-building; Digital experience is required
Experience working with stakeholders in an influential manner towards building improved Sales/After Sales Marketing effectiveness
Automotive experience is an asset, including working with dealers and experience/familiarity with sales & service operations
Strong presentation and influence-working independently or with groups of stakeholders to drive alignment to best-practices and new tools
Confident and passionate about identifying and acting upon opportunities to grow dealer marketing opportunities, and impact through persuasion in order to drive brand alignment, improved marketing and guest experience and stronger sales/marketing effectiveness and efficiency
Willing to learn and tackle new challenges in an ever-evolving market where the consumer dictates the experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience with Power BI is an asset
Bilingual (English & French) is an asset
Ability to travel frequently
