Summary
Within the context of a client and family centred model of care and, in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Providence Health Care, the person promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff.
Reporting to the Provincial Executive Director, BC Office of Patient-Centred Measurement, the Regional Manager, Strategic Patient-Centred Measurement Initiatives is responsible for leading and facilitating key BC Patient-Centred Measurement (BCPCM) initiatives from business case development to project delivery and operationalization. These activities include working with a wide range of regional and provincial government partners/contributors to identify opportunities to improve and continually modernize various business processes related to BCPCM core operations. Project requirements may include workflow analysis, project documentation, tracking risks, issues and mitigation, budget management, and coordination of project team members and a range of provincial and regional partners to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and on budget. The Regional Manager also assists in developing project implementation methodologies, supporting documentation templates, reports and evaluation of outcomes of initiatives undertaken in the portfolio, including regular status reports, annual work plans and Action Plans. Works with partners/interested groups across all levels of the province and inspires others to achieve goals and deliverables through facilitation, consultation, negotiation, effective communication, information sharing to achieve consensus and address potential barriers to success.
The Regional Manager is also responsible for providing mentorship and training to build problem-solving capacity and increase efficiencies for service delivery across BCPCM. Engages partners/interested groups across the organizations (to include external organizations and other provincial health authorities) to conduct analysis of current workflow patterns related to BCPCM data collection, reporting and knowledge translation, patient care experience results. Identifies alternative workflow processes, implements changes approved by the provincial BCPCM Steering Committee, Leadership Council or Ministry Executives, and evaluates the effectiveness of these changes. The Regional Manager supports the development, implementation and analysis of key BCPCM performance indicators in conjunction with the implementation of process improvement initiatives. Builds managerial strength in province-wide and local continuous process improvements including use of tools and data collection modalities, especially to engage with under-represented populations. Designs, develops and supports delivery of a variety of workshops and training packages and regional and local orientation programs related to BCPCM. Supports strategic deployment initiatives and provides leadership and guidance to leadership teams regarding the identification, prioritization, and implementation of process improvement opportunities. Liaises with various external agencies to exchange best practice innovations. Represents BCPCM\xe2\x80\x99s business needs and knowledge on associated committees and acts as a liaison for BCPCM, where appropriate.
Qualifications / Skills and Education
Education, Training and Experience
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Health or Business Administration, or related field plus five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 recent and related experience preferably in a health care or social services setting that includes project management and business analysis experience, facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of partners/interested groups, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience in the use of Lean continuous improvement and/or PMP certification preferred.
